Completed in July, 2001, The APS-ERAU Solar Partners Array is currently the largest solar array in the state of Arizona! The array produces a peak power of 175,000 watts under full-sun conditions. A tracking system is used to continuously point the panels at the sun to maximize the power output. Electronic circuits called inverters are used to change the DC current produced by the panels into AC current.
