Just north of the intramural and softball fields sit the pool and courts for various sports. The 25-yard pool is open from mid-April until mid-October, and has equipment for water basketball available for student use.
If you find yourself in need of a quick dip in the winter time, student activities plans the “polar bear plunge” for those brave enough to drop into those cold waters. The pool area sports a deck for sunbathing as well as poolside lounge chairs. A student lifeguard is on-site from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. The pool is open to Embry-Riddle students, faculty, staff, and their guests (with guest pass). Children 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Surrounding the pool area are the tennis, sand volleyball, and racquetball courts. The tennis and volleyball courts are lit for nighttime use. One racquetball court has been converted to the Matted Room for activities like yoga, martial arts, and boxing. Beginning May 1, 2014, the Matted Room will not be available for approximately a full year during the construction phase of the Athletic facilities.
